How it works

Step 01
Embed Fizen Connect
The user connects their bank in the Fizen component, and consent is managed on the Fizen website.
Step 02
Connect the MCP server
Your agent connects to https://mcp.fizen.com on the user's behalf, with a token issued after consent.
Step 03
The agent uses the tools
Balances, transactions and summaries available as read-only MCP tools.

MCP tools

Tools available to agents.

list_accounts
Accounts the user has granted access to.
get_balance
The current balance of a given account.
list_transactions
Transactions in a date range, filtered by amount and counterparty.
search_transactions
Search transactions by reference, counterparty or amount.
summarize_spending
A summary of spending and income by category.
get_consent_status
The status and expiry date of the user's consent.

The Fizen Connect component

Fizen Connect is the window in which the user chooses a bank, logs in and selects accounts. You embed it with a few lines of code. Fizen handles consents, renewals after 180 days and revocations, and you get a webhook for every change.

Rules

An agent must never ask the user for banking credentials.
Account data may be used only for the purpose the user agreed to.
Users must know which AI provider processes their data.
Data must not be kept longer than the purpose requires, or resold.
